A number of students at Virginia Tech have developed various visualizations and exercises for the OpenDSA project. The are mostly a bit raw at the moment, but they help us along the way of defining the core storyboard for the project. Here is what’s new:

* Insertion sort visualization

Selection sort visualization

* Mergesort visualization and proficiency exercise

Hashing visualization and several sample exercises

Huffman coding tree construction visualization

* FFT visualization powerpoint mockup

Kd-tree visualization

I will be transferring a number of these to reST format in the near future.

Re: New visualizations and exercises

Some of the visualizations are quite advanced and use JSAV in ways that weren’t (officially) supported so I’m happy they managed to implement these. Feedback and questions from your students have certainly helped in improving the library.
